Located at 65 East Main Street, Butera’s, which also has locations in Woodbury and Sayville, specializes in New Italian cuisine with northern and southern influence.

Butera’s has four owners, three of whom are chefs with expertise in different culinary areas:

“Three of the four owners, Martin Butera, his wife Laurie, brother Gary, and Nick Zografos, are also chefs. Martin brings the experience of growing up in his father’s pizzeria, Gary trained at France’s acclaimed Cordon Bleu, and Nick attended New York Restaurant School,” reads the restaurant’s website.

This wide range of culinary expertise is demonstrated in the restaurant’s lunch and dinner menus, which feature everything from traditional pasta dishes to grilled beef, poultry and seafood, hand-stretched pizzas and more.

Butera’s is further known for its chicken meatballs, which are made with fresh, antibiotic-free chicken, house-made breadcrumbs and Romano cheese and have recently become available for retail sale.

Butera’s also offers a huge list of fine wines and specialty cocktails.

Butera’s menu and friendly service have earned the establishment a four-star rating on Yelp, with guests praising the eatery’s fine dining atmosphere and classic Italian eats.

“Had dinner here tonight - absolutely awesome, service was attentive, atmosphere authentic and food was fantastic. Portions were very generous and everything was absolutely spot on. Overall ranks in top five meals I have experienced this year and best Italian!” writes John O. in a July 19 Yelp review.
